About Me

Mama Amika at Plaza España

I’m a mother of two lovely children – Amani who is 5 and Malaika who is 3. I’ve been married for 7 years now to my wonderful husband Bartley Kakoschke, whom I adore. I met him almost 10 years ago and since then I have been blessed in so many ways and I must thank God and my hubby for helping make my dreams come true.

One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel and see the world. I used to admire those lucky tourists who came all the way to Tanzania to enjoy the beauty of our country. I remember one day when I was quite young, I saw a really lovely couple with their beautiful baby in a big back baby carrier. The child looked like he was really enjoying the moment and I thought to myself , “I wonder if one day that will be me… with my husband and our baby? If I will be the one who gets to enjoy the chance to travel and see the world?”

Believe it or not, I kept that dream alive until my dream became reality and now I am one of those fortunate travelers who has the opportunity to travel to different places… to experience and enjoy and learn about different cultures and history. To enjoy the beauty of different countries…

I believe that there are other people out there like me, who may have the same dream and that’s why I decided to begin my online travel journal, so I can share my travel and even life experiences in general.

I hope you find something interesting here – even perhaps feel inspired to make travel plans for your next destination!

I believe that everyone has story to tell. This is mine. And if MaiSafari journal helps  you in any way, I will be very happy since that is what it’s supposed to be all about.

Please – you’re welcome to share any travel experience you’ve had – whether good or bad! And also noteworthy life experiences, because I believe that life itself is a Safari.

So guys, this is my safari what’s yours?

Karibuni Sana and Cheers!!!!!!!!!
